It was my 3 trip to Paris but never join any walking tour before. This time I did and it was really worth it. So much histories and hidden alleys and the guide was so details and humorous. Sorry I can't remember his name, just remember he is a University student there. But all his efforts of showing us and tell us every little details of Paris will always remember. Thank you. I fully recommend this walking tour.

We were a large group of about 30 people. A second guide came along and split us into two. We liked being in a smaller group . The guide, Alex, had time and patience for every question and he spoke a perfect English . He also had a good sense of humor.

Had the most amazing time with Victor, a fabulous guide with lots of insights to the beautiful montmarte, his sense of humour is great too! If only all parisiennes were like him! We walked through all of the narrow streets with cobble stone paths, saw sacre couer from a secret location away from the crowds, and really just being able to absorb, understand and fall in love with this suburb even more!

We had a great time. I would highly recommend Discover's walking tours whenever you visit a new city. Our guide Gerard (I hope I got his name right), was very entertaining. He gives you a lot of info that you will not get if you are just walking around by yourself. It makes your visit to the area a lot more meaningful.

Our Guide was called Florent and he was very informative. I?d give him 10 out of 10 for his humour, knowledge and just his enthusiasm for his job. I think our whole group stayed behind to ask him for directions, must see things to do in Paris, good restaurants etc and he was happy to speak to everyone individually.

We loved our Montmartre walking tour and Maire did a wonderful job. We learned about Moulin Rouge and other cabarets in the area. Maire shared the history and myths about Montmartre (Mountain of Martyrs) about Saint Denis - (Check out Notre Dame and you will see St Denis holding his head on the left of the entrance!)
Maire also shared a great restaurant suggestion, Le Coq Rico (Cock-a-doodle-doo in French) This was my favorite meal in Paris! So so delicious chicken. We loved seeing Sacre Cour and learning the history. We love walking tours and this was another great one! Some step to climb to Sacre Cour - the highest point of Paris. Thanks for a great tour.

The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The tour was interesting and I loved the way we walked to avoid the crowds. The tour company should not advertise the tours are free. I?m from the continent and the whole concept of tipping is a bit alien to me... just say there is a minimum charge of ?10 and leave recommendations for a ?15 to 20 per person fee. This would also save precious time during the walk for the guide the reiterate tipping is mandatory....

This was a very good tour and an overall very good experience! You simply register for the tour and meet the tour leader at the appointed time and place, enjoy the tour and they pay a tip to the guide!
Our tour of Montmartre was just what I expected and wanted -- a walk up the windy hilly streets with the guide pointing out particular sites.

I thought that all the pre-walk information and logistics were well done. Our challenge was that 30 people arrived for a single group so the first guide called for another guide to split the group. Top marks so far. The second guide was a young man who had some good knowledge about the history or geography or architecture but had lots of repetitive insipid comments about people blocking sidewalks or wearing funny hats or making long lines at shops. Maybe some people thought he was funny, but it was a marked contrast to the first guide who had plasticized reference photos to accompany his talk! It was the luck of the draw- and we lost.

Our guide for the walk was Eric. He was very enthusiastic through the whole walk, providing great background information, interesting stories and tips on local bakers and restaurants. We went to the creperie he mentioned during the tour and it was amazing! Impressive attention to detail and he pointed out lovely little art pieces installed by local artists. He could answer all our questions and spoke clearly and loudly so the whole group could hear. We had been on the Paris Landmarks walk the day before, which was also interesting, but the Montmartre Tour was definitely a highlight of our Paris visit. Thank you Eric!

It was a great tour with interesting facts. It was a pretty cold night but our tour guide Roman, made us walk and just do a small stops to keep us warm. I would absolutely recommend this tour to all my friends. Make sure to go to some restaurants right in Montmartre to have the complete experience.

We really enjoyed our walk of Montmartre with Audrey! Audrey shared the rich history of the area while also giving us a sense of what the neighborhood is like today for people who live there. I especially appreciated how she shared how residents feel about living in such a special neighborhood. And I had NO idea about Dalida. A thoroughly enjoyable tour!

The stops on the tour were good and it was clear the guide was knowledgeable. However as someone who lives in Paris who went on this with a friend, I was a bit put off by the suggestion that we didn't know anything about Paris, including basic things. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who has spent any time in Paris. That said, the route was good and the tour would be improved with some more insider tips about Paris that are less obvious. I did like the street art stop offs. Maybe good for those on a first trip.

She was local to the area and full of passion and knowledge and I would happily do the tour all over again. The walk in Montmartre was a good pace, the leader spoke English well, and it was a nice group.
The leader knew relatively little about the area, focused excessively on popular culture anecdotes like "George Clooney lives here" and here is the grave of the famous disco singer, etc. Yet she had never herself visited the museum, she shared no anecdotes about the famous authors and painters who made the area so famous, and generally seemed to be speaking from some poorly conceived crib notes from the agency.
This was not up to the standards of other tours I've taken. Also, she didn't know the directions to get back to the metro after the tour saying "just go straight" which wasn't really true.

We did 3 tours. All were excellent. All gave us a different perspective on the usual Paris districts and landmarks that tourists generally see. The guides were all great, knowledgable, fun and informative. Timings generally being 1.5 hours were a perfect length. Would thoroughly recommend.

To know historical events and then to hear how the locals felt as these events occurred was awesome. We are a family of four with two under 10. Our guide was full of history, gossip and fun stories of this part of Paris. He spoke well, clearly and constantly ensured that the group understood him.....his English was very good! The walk is not strenuous, but we saw interesting sites and it was exciting to learn the stories around the buildings and streets.

Discover Walks was the discovery of my Paris trip. It's a wonderful initiative to explore the hidden gems of the city, learn interesting trivia along the way and bring life to buildings, nook n corners and cafes which are otherwise just lifeless brick n mortar structures.
Our Montmartre guide was Victor who deserves a special mention for being jolly, knowledgeable, funny and very amiable. Thanks for showing us a great time. It was our first walking tour and the beauty of the place and our lovely walking tour experience gave our trip the right start.

Die Tour hat nur einen sehr kleinen Teil von Monmatre umfasst, es war sehr schwer den Guide zu verstehen und er hat es heraush9ren lassen, dass er unbedingt ein Trinkgeld haben will. Wenn es eine free tour ist, sollte man auf dem Aspekt Trinkgeld nicht so rumhacken.

Ich w�rde die Tour zu einem fr�heren Zeitpunkt des Tages machen. Es war hei� und die Stiegen und der Vorplatz von Sacr� Coeur war v�llig �berf�llt. Da die Tour aber hinten von Sacr� Coeur geendet hat, konnte man ein bisschen Zeit genie�en, bevor man sich in die Menschenmenge geworfen hat.

A great area to tour but our guide Cecile was very nice but rambled at times with her explanations. I believe she might be new to the touring game but don't know for sure. I recommend covering more area and reducing the somewhat long-winded explanations. I found the Monmarte tour to be much more precise in the verbal explanations and the pace our the tour was much faster and more to my liking. I belive with more exoerience Cecile will improve.

Guide was on station early. Welcomed everybody in person. Asked where they were from and engaged with everybody before starting off. Managed late-comers well by bringing them up to speed without boring the "on-timers".
Guide was knowledgeable, had lived in the area so that added great texture and detail. She also wove some old songs into the story and very tunefully sang them as we walked.

i love this tour! The guide- Astrid- was amazing. She was fun, informative and passionate about the area we were touring (Montmartre) and it felt more like a friend showing me around than a run of the mill tour.
I loved every second of it (even the freezing cold of Paris in Jan). I would recommend this a hundred times over to friends and family.

The Montmartre tour highlighted the best neighborhoods as well as being a nicely paced walk up to Sacre Coeur. Getting a little background on our tour guide was a bonus -- very friendly and knowledgeable.

Thoroughly enjoyed the guided walk of Montmartre. Wish I could remember the guide's name, she was entertaining and very knowledgeable (and had a beautiful singing voice, as she sung us a Dalida song). As we were staying in Montmartre and did the walk on our first morning in Paris, it made our entire stay there more enjoyable as we had a better idea of the area we were in and great tips of shops to make sure to visit. Was one of my highlights of my time in Paris.

Great experience. Had been to Montmatre before, but the guided tour showed us much more than we had seen before. In fact, I went from thinking Montmatre was pretty ordinary to thinking it was really great.
In future I will always do a guided tour in any new city. The guides know which streets are worth walking through, give good information as you go and save a lot of wasted time studying maps and backtracking ( I never admit to being lost!!).

I totally recomend this tour! It's a hour and a half tour between the beautiful streets of Montmartre where we get to know all the stories of its most famous guests. Amazing tour!
